Who remembers the late, great Farrah Fawcett? When I was a girl, television still had some novelty and we used to sit down as a family and watch Charlie’s Angels and the Six Million Dollar Man all together. I cut out magazine pictures of Farrah and stuck them on my bedroom wall. I desperately wanted the Farrah flick and endured endless teasing at my failed efforts. After all, I was 8 or 9 years old. I didn’t have curling tongs or gels or hairsprays, only my trusty comb and a desire to be re-born in her hairstyle.
Last weekend, on a flea market jaunt, I saw Farrah Fawcett’s picture up on a wall, and it triggered those memories.

I was more of a Kelly Garrett girl hehe. The original Angels just had ‘it’ didn’t they? …I’m loving the cute handbaggies in the photo too, Spotted. 👛
Oh I thought Jaclyn Smith was beautiful too. My sister, my cousin and I used to play at the Angels, running around the garden chasing virtual criminals. We were considerably less glamorous!
I got pretty close to that hairstyle for a while! Not quite so voluminous but definitely all “feathered” like that – haha! What a great choice for the idea of nostalgia this week; I’m already tripping down memory lane as I think about not only that hairstyle, but my hiphuggers, clear belt with double row of holes, midriff shirts, etc.

OMG WC, that really was a throwback!! I remember her perfectly, I adored her AND her hairstyle. She became quite a good actress later on – remember The Burning Bed? And sadly died quite young as I recall. Anyway, a very fond memory, thanks!!
Yes I think she died of cancer fairly young. Although she was good as a serious actress, she’ll forever be imprinted in our minds as an Angel. I read that she only did one full series, peppered with guest appearances in later series. Which makes her popularity even more amazing.
Her hair was in when I was in grade 7 or 8, one girl in our class could pull it off, but not me, long straight limp hair…just like you..nothing would work! Great Post! T. 🙂

I remember watching both shows. I like Farrah Fawcett. I also remember making that hair style. I always wanted Charlie to turn around so that I could see his face. 🙂

Yes it is. Hats off to the producers for never revealing Charlie on-screen. It would’ve made him less enigmatic.

I remember Farrah Fawcett and the times when Charlie’s Angels was on TV, or rather, replays of the show on TV in the 90s when I grew up. I too love her locks. Full of volume and such soft and luscious curls. My hair is a bit too thin and straight for that look 😀
I’ve come to realise that my hair just cannot make that hairstyle, even though I am now armed with curling irons and spritzes etc … although I still really want it in my inner heart ! Haha!
